I did hamsters in high school and had to give up on it. I went through 3 in 1 year and they all kept getting tumors and dying

This is why we have chinchillas. They live about 12 to 20 years. Unlike the hamsters, guinea pigs, rats and mice we had before.

Mac - I just can't help myself - NEVER! :)

The Yankees jersey belonged to my late MIL and I feel guilty for never wearing it and for even considering throwing it away. But if it gets to be way too big .... well, I'll have good excuse then, right?

I like to wear a Christmas-y sweater on Christmas morning so I can look festive in the boring holiday videos Mr. Mac makes. As you can see, this amount of use did not justify buying a new one every size. The one I have now is only wintery anyway, but I still bet I get rid of it before I wear it again.

am going to organize my clothes by size. I can't wait to be able to tell some of them, "sorry, guys, you're just too big! See ya!"

That's a good idea!

What a nerd, Heehee.....BTW, Happy B-day, since my work week is ending tonight, and I usually reserve LBT for weekdays. PS- Get a myspace site so I can friend you, ya geek!!

Make a Facebook page and we can talk.

She Smiles - sorry for your loss.

Another vote for BBK done.

While I was walking home last night, i encountered a little mouse stupidly trying to cross a major road. I spent endless minutes trying to scoot it back to the treeline, but alas it evaded me. Needless to say, a few drivers were puzzled at my apparent random dancing on the sidewalk, except for one guy in a truck who yelled to me 'Kill it, you idiot."

It's Friday - Yeah! Another freakin' raining day - blech. But Friday, so on balance, a good day.

Gloucester - I'm thinking of you girl. Praying ya'll remain safe. Batton everything down and like Brandy said don't go outside unless you absolutely have to. The doggies may need a "room" for them - maybe an extra bathroom if you have one. Get some doggie trainer pads, newspaper, or something. Stay safe and let us know how you are when you can. I know I posted earlier about going out between bands - but that's only if you are getting outer feeder bands....this is a huge storm and nothing to take lightly. Take care of yourself and your family. God Bless!

I'm done with all my pre-op testing. And now I'm working the forms for the disability leave. I thought that it started the first day you were in the hospital but it appears that is no longer true. Bummer.

I had my sleep study. Wasn't bad at all. Nurse said I quit breathing a few times but for like 1 or 2 seconds. Nothing severe. I get the full results on September 25th. As soon as I got home today my pulmonologist called. I have asthma they said 12 and under was asthmatic...I was a -35. So He's putting me on two inhalers...I can't afford the symbicort one though....anyone know of any like that but are cheaper and work about the same? The rescue inhaler is only 30 though but the Symbicort is over 100. Also I got a new hammie. Long haired cream colored. I named it Toffee.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
