I have to share this because I am STILL in shock ya'all! Went shopping and generally I don't buy clothes at the mall because of my style. You know that I am very vintage. ANYWHO we were at TjMaxx for sheets and I saw this dress I fell in love with. It is a very cute black dress in the 40s/50s style I love. BUT it was the only one, a small. It was not only amazingly cute it was marked down from $98 to $10 freaking dollars!! SO without trying it on I bought it. I didn't want to try it on there and cry. Well it not only fits but even 10+ more pounds I would be fine!

I have gone from no longer being able to shop at Lane Giant because I was TOO BIG to a small!!!! I had to share with you all! :biggrin2: What a wonderful journey this has been!

This must be the longest thread.

Has anyone read all 175 pages of it?

I did last weekend during a sickness and rain storm....I can't believe I admitted that!

How much have you lost Georgia? :smile2:

They measured at the end of April and I had lost .50 cc, which they weren't very concerned about. At my last fill, I told her that I always lose my restriction after a week or so, so she measured again and I had lost .75 cc in a 2 month span. She refilled what I had lost and yet again, I had good restriction for about a week and now it's gone again.

BBK, that's amazing about the dress! Girl, you are rockin! I agree with Shesmiles, you should post a pic of you in the dress....I would love to see it!

Posting to say I am depressed because I had such a great week off last week just spending time with my kids and now I am back at work. But, it did reaffirm my belief that I have two amazing kids and how lucky I am.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
