Fanny and all our dear friends down under. I am praying that you all are safe. I heard about flooding a few days ago in some parts and just heard about the drought stricken parts and the fires! I heard 108 people died from the fires already. Be careful everyone.

Guess that makes DH a WoW widower. I've tried to get him involved and he just won't. I guess he figures it keeps me from doing online shopping, so he's pretty cool about it.

I personally know 2 people who have gotten divorced over WOW, it is the CRACK of online games. And like the original CRACK I'm glad I got to see it f*uck up a few friends before I was unfortunate enough to get involved.

Wow, I have heard of some people having real problems with becoming addicted to it.

Wow, I have heard of some people having real problems with becoming addicted to it.

I guess it depends on the people. Like I said, I hadn't touched it in weeks before this weekend. Other times I have spent an entire Saturday or Sunday playing. Here lately I've been making sure to get in exercise of more than just my fingers.

MacBoy plays it but took a year off. He's more measured about it now. Before we would fight because I'd want him to come to dinner and he'd say "I"m raiding!"

This time he got smart and started his own guild of people on his coast and they raid at 8:30pm instead of dinner time.

It is sad how true that really is.

DH and I got into it big time about it last year. He was probably playing 10-12 hours per day while working full time. He was constantly exhausted, kids were left to their own doings, he would be late getting up to take them school because he had gone to bed at 5am. It was really, really bad. Finally it came to a breaking point for me- it was his family or his game. He did not play again until the end of the summer. After a lot of talking about it and setting up some guidelines I told him he could play again. It is really not that I mind him playing, because I don't. But family and responsibilties come first. And some people get so sucked into the game that they don't want to come back out. IRL they feel like a nobody but online they are somebody important.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
