shakes make me wanna hurl at this point, and the Isopure I’m trying to Dilute and add flavors to cover the aftertaste... but failing....

I really want to get my Proteins through food but.. my lord it’s tough!

How long ago was your surgery? I'm 7 weeks out and can only do 1 "chicken nugget" sized piece with maybe 1 tiny bit of vegetable.

Try some different Protein sources. For Breakfast I have 2oz smoked salmon, one hard boiled egg, one wedge laughing cow light cheese. 195 calories, 22g protein, 9g fat, 4g carb. You can cut out the egg if it’s too much and still be at 16g protein. For a mid morning snack I’ll sometimes have a coffee with half a Premier Protein caramel shake. The coffee cuts the sweetness and its tastes great!

Different Protein seems to fill me up quicker than others. But I am 3 months post op, today! I can easily eat 4 oz salmon filet (which I made at home for the first time last night, delicious source of protein!) . Same with most other meats. Although, I don't usually have room for anything else. To get my veggies in for the day, I have to eat them separate than meal times.

Depending on when you had your surgery, your stomach could still be healing. With excess swelling, your pouch is smaller than "normal" until about 6 weeks post op for Sleeve and RNY. I'm not sure about DS. I started being able to eat more, portion wise, at about 7-8 weeks.

About six weeks out and I'm probably averaging 1/2 cup per meal. I've been having a lot of ground turkey with taco seasoning - for an idea of meal size, I take an iceberg lettuce leaf, spread about a tablespoon of sour cream across it, then put in the taco meat and some cheese. Wrap that up, eat it and I'm done.

Tuna pouches with light mayo are great.

Another good source of Protein that I’ve tried and enjoyed is Morning Star Breakfast sausage, Morning Star original grillers and their buffalo chicken burgers. They have good protein content and are softer than most meats. I tried eating a portion of a real hamburger and real chicken nuggets, and it didn’t go well so these have been a nice alternative.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
