You can't really lose 2lbs a day (aka burn 7000 calories more than you take in), so just think of this as reversion to the mean, which will pass and the weight loss will continue. This is why weighing yourself daily can be a point of frustration, be prepared the same thing will happen when you transition to the puree stage.

Oh yes, yes, yes - irritatingly, annoyingly, exasperatingly, frustratingly normal!

Prep yourself for stalls regularly on this journey. At 3 weeks. At 3 months.

I lose pretty consistently 100g a day now - 3/4lbs a week. But some days when I think I have eaten perfectly normally I will put on a pound! It goes fast, but water retention, hormones, muscle building all have an impact.

One trick I have learned - often when I am in a stall, is when I will drop a pants size, or a bra size. So make sure you get in the habit of checking that or doing regular same-spot measurements with a tape measure and you will stay smiling!

I was also sleeved on 3/20 and seemed to have stalled at 17lbs. I only weigh myself once a week and at my post op dr visit. I was getting frustrated, but see we are all in similar situations. We need to trust the process. [emoji4]

I was sleeved on 3/19 and I’m in the same boat. Now I’m on the soft food stage and I’m not going to freak out about it even though I was hoping for more weight to come off [emoji17] I’m going to keep pushing on.

Omgosh!! I am counting the days until soft foods! I have 1 more week on liquid with my doctor! Congrats on getting to next stage !!! Easter about killed me making a huge dinner for family, but I pushed thru and had my soup [emoji24]. No turning back now!
