We were given a list of Vitamins and they are all chewable as they are the most absorbed after surgery. Definitely NO gummies allowed. Also, Centrum chewable was ok but not silver as they don't have enough Iron.

I chose opurity Bariatric chewables Sleeve and Bypass optimized from Unjury.com They are one per day and only other viatmin I need to take is calcium citrate. They are only $30 for a 90 day supply so it was a great deal for me.

I take BariMelts and alternate with the vitamin patches. They come in specific Gastric Sleeve bundles so I know I’m taking in the right amount.

How do you like the Patches? I just ordered some a few days ago because I can’t handle the nausea from the chewable ones.

Try sucking on them like a hard candy rather than chewing. My dietician said no Patches. Some Vitamins can not be absorbed through the skin. Such as B vitamins for one.

I was told NOOOO gummies for the rest of our small-tummied lives!?!

My husband and I use the Multivitamin Plus Patches from PatchMD. They're made specifically for bari patients and have a little bit of everything. I also recently started taking fish oil and higher dosage of B12, 'cause hey - it couldn't hurt. ;)

You can do this!

I’m curious, why no gummies? I’ve been using Calcium gummies to supplement a multi Vitamin and I suck on them for about 10 min until they dissolve in my mouth. I didn’t know that I wasn’t supposed to take gummies and don’t understand the downside but have heard no gummies a few times in this thread.

I am pretty sure that she said they are loaded with sugar and not much Vitamins. She said that we may as well eat a piece of candy than have those.

I use Journey Bariatric Vitamins and Journey Calcium+ Vit D supplements. My surgeon's office sells them and offers an auto-ship program with free shipping so I just do that instead of trying to guess what I need out of any other store bought/non-bari kind. I'm a simple gal :P

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
