Hi. Were you sleeved on Dec 11? That is my date and we share almost the SAME weight loss. I JUST posted something similar today. Others who were sleeved after me, my buddy Seahawks, for example, has lost 40 pounds since surgery and his surgery was in mid/late January

Me. Since Dec 11 surgery, I went from 321 to 287 (current weight) I've hit a lot of stalls, valley's, It's a crazy ride. Total loss since surgery 34 pounds since surgery, 57 since preop diet 2 weeks before surgery

Me, my preop diet was Nov 27 to Dec 11 and I lost 23 pounds in that time

Maybe we aren't so far behind afterall.

My aunt told me last week to chill and just enjoy this journey.

It's not a race, it is a journey

Remind me as I remind you

You're such a wonderful guy, Seahawks a wonderful encourager.

To VSG Meow ****** (lol), Seahaws is right

You're doing wonderful and just going by the numbers I have lost more than you. However

I, am much heavier than you and as you should know, the heavier you are (weight on scale on surgery date) the faster the initial weight drops off

So the fact that you've lost what you have, the weight you were on surgery day, you are doing AMAZING

Keep in mind, on my surgery date, I was 321, so you and I are in diff galaxies and it makes sense I've lost faster than you

Good job, sugar!

Good job, you are making great progress. Think in terms of percent of excess weight lost vs lbs.

That's still not bad at all! It's above the average of 1.5 - 2lbs per week. Your average is actually 3 pounds per week. You also have less to lose than a lot of other people. The less weight you have to lose the harder it is. Just keep at it and you'll get there. Remember, you didn't gain this weight overnight.

I was sleeved on 12/27 and my pace is pretty similar. You are fine. :) I was a little bummed about the scale numbers but my measurements and clothes sizes are doing wonderfully. Also my cholesterol is down enough to stop taking my statin, my blood sugar is normal again, my resting heart rate is in the low 70s instead of 90s.

Look at ALL your victories and stop looking only at that scale. The scale will follow.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
