losing-if you come to boston, let me know!!!! Woohoo..what a great goal. I should do it with you. The thought of it horrifies me.

How do you like those caramel latte shakes? That sounds like a flavor I would like. Do they have much of an aftertaste?

oh the thought of it terrifies me ... SOOO horribly badly bad .. (LOL - how is that for awesome grammar?? ;)) but i want a really long term goal ... i have my short term and my 'ultimate goal' set, i want something to really look forward to...

the shakes are simply devine and if i could get away with it, i'd drink 5 a day and that's it ... no solids what so ever ... :heh: i throw it in the freezer and it's just like a 'bux frapp!! MMMMMMMmmmmmmmmm (i do not have any aftertaste). however, they are difficult to find ... in fact, the only place i have found them is Atkins online or thru Amazon ($40 for a case of 24)

I live in the Boston area and we have those shakes in Stop and Shop supermarket. I'm not sure, but I think they also have them at Shaws. GNC has them too. PS ...They really ARE awesome. I'll have to try your freezer thing, that sounds really good.

Thanks Losing..I am going to check them out.

Cindylu-what Stop and Shops have you seen them in. I know I saw the chocolate flavors but have not seen the caramel latte. Just curious. I am in the Boston/Quincy area.

I've bought them at Stop and Shop in Norwood and Walpole. They are over with the slimfast shakes by the Vitamins. Good luck.

I was going to go for run 2 of week 3 but my knees are still achy and my heel spur is really bothering me tonight. I'll do it tomorrow. So that means I'll have to do run 3 on sunday. Thats ok though, I may be repeating week 3. Its a toughy!

I'm feeling pretty good today, so I'll be back at it after work. That means that this week is only 2 runs, but I'll do 3 next week at the same week, because I'm really afraid of week 4!

gahhhh ... today's run was torture. it just couldnt be over fast enough!

oddly enough, i had my fastest 'average' since the program. 4.0MPH (i keep typing MPG..lol *dork*). my walks were 3.7 - 4.0 and my runs were 4.4 - 4.7. i guess i thought if i ran faster it would be over quicker ... (refer to *dork* comment above :))

so i am finished for the week. i am definitely running week 2 again next week. i dont think my body can take week 3 quite yet.

after running, i did some leg / ab work and LOTS of great stretching. ahhhhhh stretching. i need to take more time to do it. i think it would really help my legs. my calves get so fatigued when i run. hell, I get so fatigued when i run still. but its better than it was 3 weeks ago ... ;)

great job everyone...

and whos - dont feel guilty for taking a day off. i am going home this weekend and probably resting the entire weekend! maybe after 2 days of rest i will be up for week 3????? hmmmmmmm....

oh yeah ... stupid question about the podcast for week 3...

you know how on week 1 he says 'get ready to start your run - GO' ... he doesnt really say GO on week 2 and i miss that cause i dunno when to actually start running (heaven forbid i go an extra few seconds).

does he say GO on week 3?

<mentally preparing for week 3>

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
