Constant Vomiting After Surgery

Hi everyone!

Ever since my surgery on the 14th I've been vomitting. It's been painful dry heaves that have nothing but bile and blood coming out. I talked tot he surgeon about this but he didn't seem bothered by it, I'm on an IV so I don't become dehydrated. Right now I don't see me ever getting past this or ever being able to go home. Has anyone else dealt with this before?

I had a few bouts of this but not a sl consistent as what your describing, do you know what they are giving you through you IV for it?

Are you on pain meds? I had a couple bouts of dry heaves while at the hospital and think it was due more to the damned pain meds than it was anything else.

You don't say what kind of surgery you had in your profile.

Sorry you're having probs! :(
