Super Bowl food!

Recommended Posts

Everyone has been downing the Snacks around me & I have restrained myself until dinner. So I had a piece of pepperoni pizza with parmigiana cheese & half a bottle of Taco Bell fire sauce in the vitamix for dinner tonight. Of course my serving was half a cup but what a treat it was!

Yeah I did that & it worked well. I put Taco Bell fire sauce in almost everything I purée. Mostly Soups. I love it! I was on omeprazole for almost 25 years before my surgery and I haven’t It since. The hot stuff hasn’t bothered me one bit!

Wonder the hot sauce didn't burn a hole,in your delicate tumtum. Oh well if a pizza smoothie turns your crank,it turns your, crank. You,get a D- for menu selection but a A+ for ingenuity.

I made a keto/lowcarb pizza for my guests (many still on New Year resolution diets). For the dough I used Cast Iron Keto's dinner roll recipe which is composed mostly of mozzarella, cream cheese and almond flour. For the sauce I used the Atkins pizza sauce recipe (added more herbs and onions than it called for). For toppings I put all the proteins! Sausage, ham, pepperoni! Reviews from my tribe: delicious! It came out a lot like a deep dish Chicago style pizza. I could only have one small bite of this though, because I had ham and turkey before.

The other keto/lowcarb friendly snack that was a hit for our party was bacon wrapped pickles. Sounds weird, but everyone loved those!

This was my superbowl snack. Where's the crust pizza. Low carb and helps the pizza craving. It was really good.

Wow that looks amazeballs! How much of it were you able to eat at 1 meal?

2 very small squares. and i just ended up eating mostly the topping. I kept the lid on so it made the bottom a little soggy.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
