One week til surgery, havent been put on pre-op diet? (BMI 31)

Im due for sleeve on the 6th but havent been asked to undergo a pre-op diet so far. I have emailed but thought I would bring it up on here.
My BMI is low (31) and im wondering if this has something to do with it.
Ive started my own pre-op liquid diet just to be safe, but has anyone else had a similar experience?

There was a woman in my preop class who didn't have to do liquid. She was much smaller than the other two of us, and had a different surgeon. Not sure what the reason was, but she came through her surgery just fine.

not all surgeons require it

Puts my mind at rest a bit lol.

Yes my BMI was much higher than yours and my surgeon didn't require it either. He just said to work on eating much smaller meals and not to worry about wanting a big meal as I wouldn't want it anymore...also said to start getting used to eating very slow but no pre op diet other than the NUT's advice I was following on my diet plan for 6 months...oh and to have your "last meal" or whatever you really wanted to have a few days to a week out, not the night before...

good luck to you :)
