I have a tiny, one,on the eve of Wonder Wednesday. I no longer have a double chin or chins--
maybe that is where the 15 pounds I lost in August hung out?
perhaps a lower case nsv but I will flaunt,it÷👅

I wore heels for 5 hrs today, and had no pain whatsoever. I forgot that was even possible! :o

I happened to catch my reflection this morning and I had a thought “holy crap I’m stylish and don’t look fat and lumpy”. Serious double take. Considering I’ve been feeling crappy post gallbladder removal (wohoo 2 weeks since that fun) it was a welcome feeling. I’m wearing a shirt I got from stitch fix that is pushing my comfort zone but it’s growing on me.

(I’m not a “fat” is a bad word person. Even at my heaviest I knew I was beautiful and accepted this is where I am and it is what it is).

After my sleep study on Tuesday night, I was hoping to announce a NSV of being rid of my CPAP, but...not quite. My OSA is down to “mild” from “severe,” though, and without a CPAP, I’m down to 13 arousals an hour from 117 when I first had a sleep study in 2011 (and was 110 pounds heavier).

So here’s another NSV: Yesterday I accidentally threw our garage door opener in a Dumpster, and without thinking about it, I boosted myself onto the lip of the Dumpster and leaned in to retrieve it.

Congrats! That's outstanding!

I parked in a tight parking space and was still able to squeeze out of my door, without touching the car next to me. In the past I would not have been able to get out of my car.

I know this one too well

Hiked up two (2) mountains this summer. 12,998' and 14,202'. Tried the first one three years ago and almost passed out within the first 20 mins.

That's your body dysmorphia talking! :)

Your measurements are smaller than mine, and 8-10 in dresses is what I'm wearing

I bought a BIKINI!!! :o

I tried it on, didn't hate, and might even wear it out in public! :o :o :o

Even as a teenager and in my 20's when I was 20 lbs lighter than I am now I didn't wear a bikini. Of course this bikini is as high waisted as hell, but I'm not going to show my ugly tummy! :P

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
