Drat being on the phone app, it doesn't show up! And no not all babies look the same, mine three were pretty cute and I suspect yours were also. Just thought if Abe shaved his beard the baby and he👨&👶 probably looked even more alike than in the beginnning

We are going on vacation in September, I’ve been on the hunt for some cool, comfortable dresses. My NSV is that I can buy small and medium sizes now. I even bought a small for my tankini bottoms. Small! Omg.

My top 12 (In no particular order)

  1. Diabetes in complete remission
  2. Sitting in booths
  3. Not worrying if I will fit if I need to use a public restroom
  4. Boundless energy
  5. Fitting in a chair with armrest - getting out of it without it being stuck to my a$$
  6. Not avoiding my photo being taken
  7. Everything I do is easier
  8. No pain (Knee, feet, back ....)
  9. Going from a 48" wait to 34"
  10. Having to remove 4 links from my watch band
  11. This conversation - Me: "Honey, did you pick me up anything while you were at the clothing store?" Wife: "NO. I'm afraid to buy you clothes because they will be too big by the time I get them home!"
  12. This picture VVVVV

Those dresses are super cute! And you don’t even look like you’ve had WLS....you look awesome! Enjoy your vacation.

@JConforti Thanks for posting and BIG CONGRATS to you sir. My starting weight is quite a bit more than yours but height and goal weight are pretty spot on. I love seeing posts like this. Such an inspiration and does wonders for my motivation. Almost a year apart from our surgeries as well. Just great to see.

Thanks! I carry everything in my belly, and I’m hiding it all under that soft flowing material. Wish I could wear Spanx but it just makes me physically ill to be squeezed like a slug in a straw.

Congratulations to you and welcome to the bench. Thank you for your kind words. If you should ever want or need to talk - Get in touch. It is very gratifying to me when my success is motivation or in some way helps others.

Remember to always focus on how far you've come.

I had a NSV today! I went for a walk at work and it didn’t suck! I’m only a few weeks post-op but it’s crazy the positive effects I’m already noticing.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
