Late December Sleevers?

Recommended Posts

I drank a lot of Water, about 10 oz of Protein Shake and one full yogurt today. I’m not really hungry, but I also don’t know how much is too much. Is that a lot for day 3??? How much are you guys eating right now?

My doctor has me on a three week liquid diet. And pre op surgery I was on a two week liquid diet. I can wait to have puree already.

Also I went into surgery at 244. When I can home and weighted I was 248! Today I am 243. Anyone else have this issue?

Hi. My gas pains are almost gone—thank God!! That was awful. I’m feeling pretty good, but I have waves of pain in my stomach at random times, and often when I swallow. My biggest issue is knowing when to stop. Everyone says you will feel full and know, but my tummy feels off and on pain all the time and doesn’t seem to correlate to what or how much I’m eating. So either I’m just not good at reading the signs yet, or my body isn’t sending consistant signals for when I’m hungry or full. I’ve felt neither sensation so far. I read others saying they can get down only two bites of yogurt 5 days out, but I ate almost an entire yogurt just at Breakfast the 2nd day out! I’m confused. I’m not hungry, so now I’m just stopping randomly when I think I’ve eaten about as much as I should be able to eat. I don’t want a leak!!!

We gotta just keep trekking along and hope we are navigating this whole new territory right.

I have gained alittle. It's because they pump us full of IV fluids to keep us from getting dehydrated. Kinda of a bummer when you see the scale go up, but it's just temporary. Good Luck!

I am 5 days post op and gained 20 of water!! Yikes! Plus I’m swelling up so I guess I’m worse case scenario! Can we chew gum on first stage?

As long as you don’t swallow it I think you’re fine. But I would check with your doctor to make sure. And 20 lbs dang! I only gained 2

I had my surgery 12/26 so idk if I’m 4 days post op or 5 (I don’t know if you count surgery day or the day after). Anyways tonight is the first night I can lay on my side!!!! I’m so excited. It hurts a tiny bit like a stretching, but not enough to move. Today was the first day I put real clothes on, put my contacts in, and like went to a store. It was kind of hard on me and I didn’t drive but I went. I just feel like I totally lost 4 days of my life. Like I know I was around, but I wasn’t completely like coherent. Does that make any sense? I think I basically slept for four days.

It feels nice to sleep on your side doesn’t it? Just make sure you prop your pillow up against your tummy. And I feel like I wanna sleep for days, but I can’t! I’m so bored just hanging out in my house

Yes! It’s so funny, because all I want to do is sleep, but today I couldn’t sleep at all. It’s crazy. I go back to work Wednesday, so I guess I better enjoy being at home while I can.

I told my boss I won’t be back till Thursday or Friday but at this rate I might have to go back because I can only clean my house so much!

I'm feeling pretty good. My left side tends to bug me a little but not enough to justify pain meds. I am doing well on fluids. Although today I was a little lazy on Protein. How are you doing?

I’m only on day 3 post op. I still have incisional pain. But not enough to use the narcos I was given. I tried eating Jello a couple minutes ago and my tummy went into a frenzy. Too soon I guess.

Oh wow. Yeah I barely ate the first 3 days. It gets so much better after that. I actually had awful nausea for the first 3 and as soon as I got home from hospital I felt fine. Are you home yet? I find my favourite things right now are greek yogurt and homemade sugar free popcicles. They are amazing.

I’ve been home for a day and a half. My surgeon told me I had to drink a Protein Shake a day at least and it was hard to get that down. I’m not hungry and don’t have an appetite. The nausea was really bad and still is to a point and I think that’s why I don’t want to eat anything. It took me a couple hours to finish my Protein shake.< br>

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
