Flying Solo and kind of scared
I too am alone, I'm 21 days out from surgery, and I find support and answers in groups like these. I'm focusing on my diet and exercising. I know I'm kinda new at this, but I definitely think it's making me stronger. You can do this. We are all here for you, 24/7. Good luck!

Late December Sleevers?
- Late December Sleevers?
Surgery 26th. I was an overeater, and this morning I had two bites of yogurt and felt full, I thought it tasted so good, I'll have another bite. Big mistake, nausea ensued, and I have learned I have to put my food away when I am through. I realized when they talk about head hunger, and old habits, it's going to be hard, but I haven't come this far to screw it up. So, this might sound strange, but my head and I are going to have conversations all the time, and hopefully, my old thoughts will change to this new way. It's a battle, I used food since I was little to comfort me, but I know I can do it with the support of all of you. Just sore today, glad we are all in this together.- Late December Sleevers?

Yes, I can sleep on my side, carefully. My stomach hurts if I drink too fast too. Not much pain, glad it's over!- Late December Sleevers?
This is my first day on full liquids. I am tired of my protein drink too. I had some cream of broccoli soup, I was in heaven. Drinking water and crystal light. My pain is not bad at all, I haven't taken a pain pill for 2 days. Walk, walk, walk.- Late December Sleevers?
You too.- Late December Sleevers?
I start my full liquid tomorrow. As long as you go slow, it should be ok, your sleeve will tell you if it's not!- Late December Sleevers?
We can do this, you can message anytime. Have a good evening.- Late December Sleevers?
I'm going to full liquids tomorrow. I'm keeping water, crystal light down, although I do get nauseated if I drink to much, or too fast. My pain is on the left side, but I haven't taken a pain pill all day. I just feel wiped out, although I turn 63 next week, maybe it's my age toon too! lol. I do like to laugh too, but pain, and when I cough is the worse. At least we got through the surgery and to the losers bench.- Late December Sleevers?
I had surgery on the 26th too. I just saw your post. I would love staying in touch, I don't have a big support group.- support
Thank you so much for the advice. You are right, it is our responsibility. I will try and remember this when I get scared. I will try the support group. I hope it helps.- support
I am rather new to this site. My first appointment with the surgeon is January 6th, my birthday! I thought it would be one to remember! I am concerned as I don't really have a support group, my family and I do not talk, but I do have a few co-workers that are supportive, but they also have their own lives. I'm not sure I will have anyone to go to the hospital with me. Can I do this? I weigh 350 #, and know this is what I need. Today I'm just feeling overwhelmed and depressed. I'm reading all I can, and am uplifted by all your success stories, but did you do it without a lot of support? Am I crazy for wanting to change my life without solid support? There is one support group in the town I'm in, they meet once a month, and hope to go in January. Thanks to this site, I know there is other people going through what I'm going through.- No Support
I am pre surgery, first appointment is January 6th. I've not told my family, we don't talk anyway, but work friends and these online forums, I know I can do it. Please contact me if you ever need a buddy, I believe we can do it, remember, you are NOT alone. You have all of us to get you through this.
