Late December Sleevers?

Recommended Posts

Yes, I am glad to be on this side of the line. I am taking it easy and just resting. Much success to each of us on this journey. Thanks for sharing Janszoo. It' nice to have someone I can reach out to that can understand what I am going through. Speedy recovery and positive vibes all the way.

I drank a lot of Water, about 10 oz of Protein Shake and one full yogurt today. I’m not really hungry, but I also don’t know how much is too much. Is that a lot for day 3??? How much are you guys eating right now?

I start my full liquid tomorrow. As long as you go slow, it should be ok, your sleeve will tell you if it's not!

The dry mouth gets better once you’re off the IV drip and drinking fluids. Everything gets a little better each day, I promise!

Sorry you have been in so much pain Lotte! Sounds like it is just a bit better! Tomorrow I go under the knife. Wish me good results.

That sounds like what I had on day 3, though I couldn’t manage a lot of Water. It’s day 10 for me (day 1 is surgery day according to my dietitian’s binder) and I’m having 2 8-oz Protein Shakes and a cup of strained cream Soup a day, plus about 32 oz water.

Unfortunately for me, full liquid phase is full liquid phase is full liquid phase. I tolerated thinned regular oatmeal (1/4 cup rolled oats boiled in 1 cup skim milk for 5 mins), but instant oatmeal, even with more milk than it called for, was a no-go. Also tried dropping two crumbled saltines in the bottom of my cup of soup, but those game me trouble too.

Thanks for the support. I sure can use it. Like you still in a bit of pain. I don't care for the Protein Drink. I don't like milk or milky products so I will have to find something else pronto. They gave me a fruit Protein drink while I was in the hospital, which was ok. Today I had strained cream of chicken Soup 1/2 cup, applesauce, Water throughout the day, 1/4 vanilla Protein Shake I didn't like at all. I am going to look for some sugar free coffee something to go in it. Still in pain but I made sure to walk a few laps around the house. Moving is key. Hope all goes well in the very near future.

Hi guys! I got sleeved yesterday and the pain is starting to subside. I’m on painkillers right now am able to drink liquids. If I drink too fast my stomach hurts. I’ve also been able to sleep on my side! Has Anyone else tried that?

This is my first day on full liquids. I am tired of my Protein drink too. I had some cream of broccoli Soup, I was in heaven. Drinking Water and crystal light. My pain is not bad at all, I haven't taken a pain pill for 2 days. Walk, walk, walk.

Yes, I can sleep on my side, carefully. My stomach hurts if I drink too fast too. Not much pain, glad it's over!

My surgery was the 26th. I put the Soup in my blender so it wouldn't have any chunks with some almond milk. It felt like real food!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
