i havent been on here in awhile

i usually go on this website at least once a day but havent been on for a while. i have been going through alot of emotional stuff lately. it first started going down hill for me when i got my surgery date and had to change my surgeon. ive been eating like crazy ( not gaining any weight which i am shocked) i feel overwhelmed and kind of depressed and tired. in the mean time my friends have been trying to talk me into the bypass and i even considered it for a while. i noticed that the days that i am really down on my weight i want it to come off fast and i want the bypass but on other days when i feel ok i want the band. ive decided that i need to stick to what ive been feeling from day one almost a year ago which is the band. my biggest fear is that it wont work for me. i have to admit that i like to snack sometimes on my days off and that concerns me. during this whole process i found a house in which i am going to buy 3 weeks before surgery. that is exciting but alot of stress comes with it. i also found out that my counselor of 4 years is moving so i wont have that support when i have the surgery. i am having a hard time staying focused and being positive any feed back would be great at this point. thanks

andrea

Andie,

Don't you hate it when life interrupts life? Sorry you are experiencing such emotional flip flops. When is your surgery scheduled? All I can offer is this. Grab a cup of hot tea, sit in a room alone, and think about YOU...what YOU want, where YOU want to be, what YOUR goals are, how YOU will help YOURSELF achieve them. Remind yourself that life will continue to throw you curve balls, but that there is ONE thing you can control in the flurry...YOU!

You've made a wise choice. Stick to your convictions, and you'll come out a stronger, healthier person...better able to deal with life!

Best to YOU!
