Weight Loss or Weight Management Classes - Denver, CO

I know that Kaiser in my area has weight loss or weight management classes, but not a member with them any longer. Was wondering in the Northwest Denver area where I might search for classes that will fulfill the requirement for the surgery. I haven't met with my own physician yet, but am trying to plan this out financially so that I it isn't a huge burden on me. Where have others searched as well?

I don't know specific to Denver but what is approved varies by insurance company. I had to do mine through my surgeons program (BS/BS). Most PCs won't do this and a lot of public plans are excluded. Call your surgeons office or insurance company and ask where to go. They should know what's approved.

if your insurance requires a six-month supervised diet, that can sometimes be done wherever (as long as it's supervised by a doctor or dietitian). I did my supervised diet before I was accepted into the surgery program, since my insurance specified that the diet be done any time within the last two years (prior to surgery). But all companies are different...
