My gastric sleeve story! Surgery on 12/5/17

Hi everyone. I wanted to share with you guys every step of the way in my journey.

My pre op diet started yesterday and I am happy to say the first day was great. I did not struggle much, when I was cooking for my kids my mouth did water a little but it wasn’t too bad.

My numbers so far

HW: 234

CW: 232.5

GW: 140

Your highest weight and goal weight is similar to mine. I’m glad you feeling normal again. It’s a long road but definitely worth it! I’m almost 4 months out and down to 168 from a highest weight of 235, my surgery weight was 218 so we are really close to the same weight loss. I wish you the best on your journey! It’s exciting times ahead for you! Not to mention it’s so much more fun shopping for clothes! Sale racks and thrift shops are my friends! Take care!

Hey. Your numbers sound awesome! I am exited about the journey. I ate tuna today and it was a mistake OH THE NAUSEA!!! But is a trial and error thing I have to relearn how my tummy works.

I'm very surprised that your doctor is allowing you to eat all those proteins, my diet from week 1-2 will consist of pretty much of liquids except for cream of wheat made very thin with skim milk. Then on weeks 3-4 start on pureed food, then on week 5 I can start having some chicken and turkey but it still has to be pureed, and finally after 8 weeks I should be able to start eating normally.
