Feeling of lump at bottom of throat

Recommended Posts

I had gastric sleeve procedure on 11/18/17, so it's been one year since my surgery. For the last few days, I've had a sensation at the bottom of my throat of fullness, almost like food or something is stuck far down my throat.

Has anyone else experienced this sensation or know what it is? I do take 40 mg of Protonix for GERD which I started 2 weeks post-op, and I'm also taking 150 mg of Ranitidine a day. However, this sensation doesn't feel like the burning sensation I usually experience with GERD. I can't imagine that food or anything of that nature is actually stuck though since I don't have any vomiting and Water / saliva would have washed it away.

Any ideas?

Sounds like GERD to me

Also 11/18/17 was this week, so your post is really confusing.

Ive has something like that before my sleeve. Bad reflux caused inflammation, felt like a lump in my throat for several weeks. Takes a while to go away

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
