Wore One of My Larger Shirts and Had Comments All Day

Recommended Posts

I had a size 18" neck for my dress shirts. I currently wear a 15 1/2". Today through some unplanned laundry problems I did not have a new 15 1/2" shirt to wear. I had to wear one of my 18" shirts. I had three people at work who see me everyday ask if I'm losing weight. Since my surgery everyone at work has seen me and everyone can see that that I am losing weight. The first few weeks had many asking about my health. So, by wearing a larger garment people who see me everyday finally realized that I'm losing weight. I'm not complaining I just find it amusing. Has anyone had a similar experience?

The same happened to me last weekend. I was out of my "skinny" shirts, and had a shirt on that fit me 2-3 months ago. I looked at a picture, it looked ridiculous, like a little kid wearing his fathers shirt...

I just had the same thing happen yesterday. I'm still pre op, but have lost almost 70lbs during the first 5 months of my 6 month pre op plan. I wore a polo pullover for the first time since last winter, and I was drowning in it. (It was tight on me last winter!) I got compliments all day!

Wow, 70lbs pre op. I don't think I've heard of anyone losing that much weight pre op. Imagine how much you'll lose post op. Keep up the great work.

I started at 406, so I had quite a bit to lose. My goal is to get to 225. I'm 6'3".

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
