I get it from drinks, non fat milk, Protein powder, and my new Protein chips (Quest) and boiled fish has been really great. I deep sea fish so I have lots of rock fish in the freezer. But Water is a struggle.

That is amazing..... I am going to drink more Protein Drinks I guess throughout the day..... even thought I am surrounded by the ocean, I don't eat fish that often. I weighed in on Wednesday and my total weight loss is now 41 lbs! Thrilled! I also work out 20 minutes on the Peloton bike, 10 minutes on the elliptical and 20 min on the treadmill, all after work. In the morning, around 7:30 am I take my dogs for a walk for 20 min. I would love to get down to a 50 lb weight loss by Xmas. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Good luck - I’m doing 10,000 steps a day, next week adding weight training (which I love). Post surgery I am down 36 lbs as of today. I lost 30 lbs before the surgery. I’m looking forward to being down 100lbs that will be the first thing I’m really, really happy about. My Dietian gave me a sample of a drink called Unjury the other day - it was awesome! It’s not on Amazon but you can get it on the website. It was light with no yucky back taste.

10/26 in total I've lost 47-48 lbs since starting this journey. Zero complications and feeling great. Looking forward to being cleared for some exercise and the gym.

That’s great.....I was sleeved on 10/11 and so far I’m down 25 pounds. Also, with the genopro you may want to do some research. If you look at the nutrition label for Protein, you will see two dots. I asked my nutritionist and she said it means that there is only half so only about 15 grams per scoop. Let me know what you find out

Have lost 30lbs so far. Have ran into a couple stalls but dr says I'm on track. Walk my dogs daily. I eat 800 to 900 calories a day.

It's awesome to hear everyones' progress - Particularly those with surgery right at the end of the month... I was sleeved on October 31st and I have always been unsure if I should look at October or November groups.

Since being sleeved I am down 50lbs, though I am really terrible with my diet and Water intake. I really struggle to get enough Protein in and my water intake is far too low. I keep putting it off but I think this week I need to actually sit down and and put together a plan to make sure I am getting what I need to stay healthy.

I was sleeved 10/17, down 39lbs! Haven't had issues with Protein or Water. I have very minimal carbs and I don't count my calories. The only issue I've had so far is acid reflux...it is a daily struggle.

I was sleeved 10/18. My weight loss has slowed down but I have lost 26 pounds since surgery. In the year prior to surgery I had lost 38 pounds. I don't feel a lot of restriction (to my surprise) and my tastes haven't changed at all that I can notice. I can easily eat 2,000 calories a day, and normally eat in the 1,800-2,000 range, sometimes more. I have. Even doing a lot of exercise--mostly running and dumbbell workouts. I ran 8 miles this past Saturday, followed by 5 on Sunday. I don't regret the sleeve at all--I could almost forget that I had it--but fear that I will either stop losing weight or that I will regain it all back eventually.

I was sleeved on September 12th. I am so pleased to hear that it isn't just me experiencing a stall in weight loss.

I started 137kilo and am today 120.3kilo. half of this weight loss was of course the pre & post op restricted diet.

I found I was hungry quite early on and became depressed for a while.

Now I am 3 months out I have pulled myself together somewhat I realize that this is a diet/exercise journey which is aided by the sleeve. Sadly it isn't a magical spell...

I have joined the gym and aim for 4 times a week, I found good support there with a 'can do' attitude. This was made much easier as I treated my friend to an early Christmas present and bought her a years membership also, so great to have company at some of my gym visits whilst I am finding my feet. I am surprised what I can achieve there already and feeling good but i am only losing around 1 kilo a week and I had hoped for twice that if I am honest. Before the gym I stayed the same for 4 weeks which made me feel very low indeed.

Because I was hungry I sort of skipped the mushy food phase and went cautiously to solids as I need to feel satisfied and Soup and alike slipped straight through the sleeve leaving me wanting more, but I found adding thicker porridge, Beans and pulses etc sustained me better. BTW I am not suggesting you guys do that! I have had a very easy time of it all, no sickness, no acid and i just felt that was safe for me at the time.

I guess I wanted to say here is that you might be feeling down and disheartened, but with a bit of a kick in the pants you CAN do this- I am doing it!!!!!

Lets be good to ourselves- we deserve it

Lynn

I am def stalled, teetering between pounds for about 4 weeks now 190-192. It sucks, consuming 60-73 gr of Protein and 850-1000 calories. I have restriction on solid food, no issue w fluids, weekly Constipation and no hunger or desire for food - which that is good, now if the scale would move. My jeans fall off my arss and I have jettisoned a trash bag of clothes already and lately have lots of energy.

I feel like I am finally losing, lost 5 pounds this week. I'm down 30 pounds since surgery on 10/20, Definitely have restriction with solid food. My mind still thinks I can eat a whole plate full. I find myself eating too fast at first and then when I'm full, wishing I could eat more as now I'm ready to savor it. Trying to keep the willpower strong but have had a few bad days with work treats. No one at my office knows so I try to keep the appearance of eating normal. I usually can pass things up or take something and then toss it once I'm at my desk, but poor planning got the best of me and I went into a meeting without eating first. Bad idea!! Started up a weight training program this week and excited to get that going. Almost all of my pants are too big but hesitant to buy new ones yet.

Thanks for keeping this thread going. I love seeing everyone's success and updates. I don't post much but I/m working on it!!

Hi all! Been stalking this forum since before my surgery. Was sleeved on 10/20...all went well. Was VERY tired until last week when I finally returned to 100% energy level. Hitting about 80-90 grams of Protein per day, around 850-1000 calories otherwise I feel sluggish. Hit a few stalls but this week the scale is going down slightly everyday. The first few weeks I had high anxiety because I felt like I would never feel "normal" again...was napping everyday and dreaded going back to work. I took 6 weeks off due to nature of my job but I can now say this was the BEST decision I have ever made. Still get a lot of restriction when I eat solids like chicken breast but liquids are no problem. Nuts sit well now, avoiding all soda and sweets...having bites here and there seems to keep the beast at bay :)

The forearm in the picture that comes up with this post is from my “before” picture. Why my before picture!! Anyway I’m doing well enough. I thought I was messing up because my weight loss slowed down so much. I lost 35 pounds the first month! But, I realized that if I looked at what I was eating and doing, I would be doing well to lose 3 lbs a week. After the initial weight loss, I thought I could just hold my breath and be done losing weight. No I see that it will be a road to walk for the foreseeable future. Solid Proteins = full for longer. Carbs = getting hungrier. Good luck everyone!

I was sleeved 10/26.....I am down 48 lbs as of today! I was in a stall for a couple weeks, floating between 221-224 for days. Then , the dropping started again. I need to lose just 6 more lbs to go from Obese BMI to Overweight BMI.

Then, 33 more lbs off, and I will be "Normal BMI". I am so glad I did this! I get fully pretty quick, if I eat a couple bites too much, it is an uncomfortable, achy heaviness....which reminds me why I should quit eating before getting to that point.

I need to increase water/fluids, but since I cannot chug Water, or drink after eating, I am finding fluids to be a challenge. I do try to sip all day.

I had surgery on the 31st and I'm down 30 plus pounds! Emotions lately today have been choppy biting off my family's head I've stayed up in my room for most of the day under my covers. I have high functioning autism so social things just annoy me in general but with food formally being my go-to stress aid, now I've been napping. I do get to the gym but I find I'm so tired after I workout. Hopefully, that will change as time goes on.

I want to encourage all here, we are doing it! keep at it and fighting the good fight! :1310_thumbsup_tone1:

Still purging all of the larger clothing. This morning, a shirt that I ADORED wearing ended up on top. Hard to let it go, but it was also hard to let go of those habits that also no longer serve my highest good. Onward and upward!

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!
