OCTOBER SLEEVERS CHECK IN HERE

Recommended Posts

I was sleeved on 10/26. I am down 38 lbs, I want to lose about 50 more lbs. I am 5' 9 1/2" ....... and this would put me at 175. Honestly, i think i would be happy to even just hit around 190. It'll be a big day when I hit 199.

I have promised myself a massage as a reward for getting under 200.

I was sleeved on 10/30 and I am so ready to be done with the blended diet. I go on 11/30 for the next phase! I eat scrambled eggs with a little pepper jack cheese; Oikos Zero yogurt; Premier Protein chocolate, and drink about 56 ounces of Water. I tried crystal light, but it actually made me crave sweets. I have been losing weight steadily, but actually had a stall the last few days!

We were sleeved the same day - I had a stall for a couple of days transitioning to the soft diet. Don’t get down. As of today I’ve lost 33 post surgery. I lost 30 before it. I’ve been focusing on water - I cannot get as much down as you - that’s a great number! I am getting in 70-80 grams of Protein a day. Hang in there!

Had the sleeve surgery October 16th. This week marks 7 weeks since surgery. No regrets!

I am down 22 lbs since the surgery and have lost 32 pounds since the two week pre op.

Good luck everyone!

Sleeved 10/31. Down 31 lbs from the sleeve, and 53 lbs including pre-op liquid diet. Down 66 total from my heighest weight. Eating real food again is amazing, and makes this process so easy.

Sleeved 10/30/17 and I usually have egg whites w/ 1 slice of bacon for Breakfast, Premier Protein shake for snack, small salad for lunch, and fish and veggies for dinner. I can get down 4 bottles of Water in a day (I'm working on drinking more fluids) and I workout for 30 minutes everyday and I go hiking on Sundays. I love it! I've lost 70 pounds so far! And I feel great! No Complications- and I even had to call my doctor to make sure he did my surgery right, because it's not as bad as I thought lol.. I guess I was watching too much "My 600 pound life" smh LOL~beforeafterpic.thumb.jpg.58689f88fcd10e1585e43da7dbb83db1.jpg

I'm at the gym working out and in about 2hrs I'm drinking 20 to 30 Fl. Oz of Water is this normal of late my water and Fluid intake as gotten higher easily passing 64 oz some days..

I think that’s completely normal. I can easily drink 32oz within a couple hours if I’m actually focusing on it. When I’m at the gym I will generally go through about 20oz in an hour. The water doesn’t stay in your stomach for very long and just pushes straight through.

I’m starting off my Friday in a great mood. I hit my first real goal today. I set a goal after surgery to be below 250lbs before the end of the year. I did my weekly weigh in when I woke up this morning and weighed in at 248lbs! This not only hits my goal, but puts me over the 50lb mark since surgery. I’m now at 51lbs lost since surgery and 85lbs total since the start of my journey.

While I'm happy to see everyone else's successes, my surgery has been a failure. I had my sleeve surgery on 10/30 and have lost only the 10 lbs (that was the first week). No loss since. And I have to take more medication since the hormonal changes they expected after the surgery never happened. I'm doing everything like they asked. I'm hypothyroid and have insulin resistance. Don't know why I can't lose weight like the others.

I'm a few days shy now of 8 weeks since surgery and as of this morning, am down 42 lbs. Some weeks are better than others, however, the drop has been linear and consistent for the most part. I have to look at the bright side, each week hasn't been going up in weight, clothes are fitting better, and I can shop in any store I want to now.

Are you on meds for your thyroid? I'm sorry this isnt working for you, I hope things turn around and the loss starts!

ConnieSB, how do you get so much Protein in? I am struggling with getting 50 grams in.

I get it from drinks, non fat milk, Protein Powder, and my new Protein chips (Quest) and boiled fish has been really great. I deep sea fish so I have lots of rock fish in the freezer. But Water is a struggle.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
