This is something that you need to run by your surgical team, as pre-op diets come in all shapes and sizes (or none at all) for all kinds of different reasons. Only they can say whether that fits with their intent.

I would reference your packet they give for post op.

My doctor said I am not allowed to have fruit of any kind, in any way, shape or form for six months after surgery. They want me off of fruit now as well (pre-op) but this might just be the way this practice does it. Every doctor, every surgery & every diet is different; definitely check your pre-op packet or call your doc first. You’ve come too far to lose your surgery because of applesauce [emoji6]
