My surgery is on November 13, and I am going a little stir crazy these last few weeks. I feel like time is slowing down and I'm just ready for it to get here already and it's making me agitated. Has anyone else experienced that? It's probably partially because I'm miserable at my job five days a week and I'm looking forward to the time off, too.

I totally feel your pain. I remember wanting time to just hurry up, and I too was/am miserable at my job. Having 6 weeks off was soooo needed.

Your surgery will get here soon enough, then you'll be counting down the days until you can chew!

Good Luck to you!! :)

I'm extremely impatient (just ask anyone who knows me, including my saint husband lol). I found that spending my time reading through the forums here and taking notes, doing additional research, and watching documentaries and YouTube videos about the surgery I'm getting helped distract me from time slowly passing by. I also journal my thoughts and progress in an private online journal (penzu.com), so I can feel like I'm doing something in the waiting time. Luckily my waiting time is almost up, so now I spend my waiting time just getting prepped for post-op!

Hang in there!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
