I found frozen chicken cooked on the grill is the easiest way for myself to eat it. Very juicy, tender, and pretty much melts in my mouth without much chewing. Plus chicken Montreal seasoning cooked on it was like heaven to me. Good luck, hope you can find a way for you :0)

I ate canned chicken during puree stage. I didn't actually puree it, just mashed it with a fork. I ate it in the form of Buffalo chicken dip :)

Omg!! I luuuuuuuuuve buffalo sauce and what does my husband make the day I get home from the hospital? Buffalo chicken drumsticks. Now I don’t want to impose my own way on anyone in the family; I have two boys and a husband who love to eat but I mean was that absolutely necessary on the first day? Thanksfully I was feeling so blaaaah! that I didn’t even desire it. Bless his soul, he felt terrible afterwards! [emoji83][emoji172][emoji12]

I was sleeved 8/29, so I’m almost 7 weeks out and I still don’t really have an “appetite”. I eat because it’s time and to get the Protein in, but I haven’t truly felt hungry or craved anything yet. I’m sure I will at some point. I do understand though not wanting to chew. After weeks of liquids and mushy food it’s hard to start getting down the real foods. My only recommendation is to go slowly at first. Small bites.

Good luck!

I didn't like anything either except the pourable Beans in gravy the creams of Soup and thin mash potatoes which is not on the list but my favorite I'm very careful in making it thin close to portable but more mushy ....in fact I'm one week away from moving on to the must foods I'm glad on the fact of mash potatoes because brother pourables Ugggggggh

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
