Calling all august sleevers

Recommended Posts

Had my sleeve done on August 29th so happy I can eat Now! I have lost 20lbs and I'm so happy, but I feel like maybe I'm eating to much or not enough sometimes.. My Dr. Does not have me counting calories yet, he is just wanting me to make sure I eat a lot of Protein.< /p>

I know everyone's diet is different, but it still leaves me with concern. What are you eating?

How is your weight loss going? Now my pre-op weight was 244 and didn't loose any weight before surgery, so I'm was thinking I should of lost more by now... what do you think?

I had surgery on 8/24. I lost 17 pounds during my two week preop diet and then 13 pounds since surgery. I have been in a three week stall. I am not losing anymore weight even though I am following the diet and walking a mile a day. It has me a bit worried.

I have noticed I'm losing an average of 6lbs a week, but I also didn't lose pre-op
A lot of others have said give it time and stay off the scales, but it's so hard

Everyone is different. I say stick to the plan and don't go near the scale. I got sleeved on August 28th and had some hummus and salmon today (my first real food since pre-op) and it tasted like it was made at a five star restaurant! I had it with three crackers and I'm going to try some veggies with it next time.

I was sleeved on 8/10 and have lost 20 since surgery also. Had a couple of stalls here and there but stuck to the meal plan. I found it easier to focus on the percentage of weight I lost towards my goal(vs. total lbs) and it helped me alot. In our shoes any weight loss is good. Just try your hardest to hit your protein and Water goals!

Sleeved 8/10/17 HT: 5'2

Update ... sleeved 8/29/2017
HW 272 SW 244 CW 221
Still loosin but so slowly, not counting calories just making sure I'm eating Protein, protein, and more protein.
I still feel like I'm not losing much, try not to get depressed but it's really hard.
Seemed like after losing the first 20 the next 3lbs was harder to achieve. I can't give up!! I know everyone is different, but I would really like to know where the end of August to first of September of 2017 stands with their weight loss.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
