True story, I gained 15lbs to get my BMI to 35. Was it worth it you ask? I don't know yet; I guess we'll find out if I get approved! Good news is I've been doing pretty well since meeting with the dietitian and I've lost 4lbs in the last 6 days. I feel really good and want to get back to 195-200lbs before surgery which is where I was (and had maintained for more than a year) BEFORE starting the VSG process in September!

I just got off the phone with my insurance company and they confirmed that my paperwork was received late yesterday! They said they have a 5 business day turnaround time so long as all the paperwork has been receipt. So, I'll probably just give them until next Wednesday before I call. I know it's not coming back with an approval because I have some other things to get done but this is the first step at least.

No answer from insurance yet. I called them just now and they stated that my Dr.'s office left some info off of the paperwork. It's all small stuff like is it inpatient/outpatient, provider info, place of service, tax id ect. Once they get that info back from my Dr.'s office it'll take another 5 business days to hear back.

Hey all! Not much to report! I met with the dietitian again last Monday. I am doing pretty good at eating 3 meals a day. I am still working on snacking but it's been hard because I've been SOOOOO hungry! She doesn't think I've been having enough Protein so I am working on eating more protein and protein based Snacks.

I am also waiting for a call from the hospital to schedule my upper endoscopy. Fun fun!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
