This thread is popping all of a sudden lol. Yesterday was my last day at work before the leave. I've been telling everyone I'm going on vacation lol. I know it's weird but I feel like I'm preparing for things to go wrong so I spent all day at work making sure everything was organized for my teammates in case I didn't return. Very Morbid. I just have this big fear of dying on the operating table. My surgery is 2 days away and all I can think about is dying. At least it has replaced my yearning for meat.

I told work I’m going back to Maui lol I just went in May so I’ll know exactly what to tell them when I get back, only I won’t be tan LOL

And girl, you’re not going to die on the operating table!! You’re scared and nervous and that’s soooooo normal. You need to think about how good you’re going to feel, how great you’re going to look and all the new clothes you get to buy [emoji7] you’ll be healthier and happier and that’s what is gonna happen!!!!

Day 2: passed my leak test. Think I may have over done it a bit this am. I walked a couple times went for the test then took a sink bath. I forgot I had the pain pump and hadn’t used it today yet. Until I sat back in bed and realized I had some pain even when not Moving around. I quickly used it and now resting.

Day one post op for me. I am so glad this is done!

And yet somehow you will... if you work dive in, organize, go crazy... if at home bindge watch something or start knitting... either way time will pass quickly, you’ll see. Good luck!

his is the final night before the surgery. Ahhhhh so much anxiety. I haven't done anything all day. I really want to have one last meal before the hurrah but I decided not to, I'm committed to this journey and I don't want to self-sabotage any more. I'm ready to be HEALTHY! :1299_raised_hands_tone5:

What a great thought! No self sabotage and onward to health! Hope it worked out wonderfully and your recovery is good.

My pre op diet is going well. Yesterday I was feeling tired and has a headache. Today I feel more energetic. The body has to adapt I guess.

I got my date yesterday of October 30th. I am starting the full liquid diet next Friday. I have been replacing 1 to 2 meals a day with the Pure Protein Shakes and limiting my sugar intake. Giving up coffee is the hardest, but doable.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
