Chewable Vitamins that dont taste horrible?

Recommended Posts

  1. Centrum chewables...about $9 for a 3-month supply
  2. Flintstones complete (not the gummies)...take 2 per day

The best thing is that these can be found over the counter at any Walmart, Target, Walgreens, or supermarket in most cities.

I have some of the Bariatric Fusion mixed berry flavored vitamins... they're not terrible. They kind of remind me of the Flinstone's Vitamins. I also have some of the BariMelts calcium/magnesium chewable and they taste ok to me too. Like the orange Flinstone's (I always liked Flinstone's vitamins... maybe I'm weird lol)

The "FLINTSTONE Vitamin taste horrible!! When I went to my New Bariatric Center, which I had been going to my Surgeon's office, anyhow the new Dr. told me to take 2 flintstone Vitamins plus Iron. MAN O MIGHTY those are yucky to say the least. I have used Celebrate mostly every since I had my RNY. I buy the capsules and I was told by my DR if they are to big to swallow you can open them and sprinkle it on whatever you want. But I have not had any problems with swallowing them. I figure that I went thru major surgery and I need the Bariatric vitamins I have seen past WLS peeps (like 30 years ago) who are having bad things going on because they didn't use the vitamins that were needed. I don't want to make any mistakes. It might take years before you notice something is wrong. Make sure to get all of your blood work done. It is so important. Have a great day!!

I think the Flintstones Complete taste good. Different strokes for different folks. :)

Anyhow, since I have a sleeve gastrectomy, I don't have the malabsorptive component that would necessitate use of bariatric Multivitamins.

Like you said, Different strokes for different folks!! Because I had the RNY I definitely don't want to take any chances. I don't know which surgery Micky701 is having but I think we covered all bases.

Was taking several different store bought Vitamins as I couldn't find one Vitamin that had it all until I took the Facebook vitamin challenge. Now I take two chewable watermelon Celebrate Vitamins a day and am so glad I do. Check them out, they have different flavors.

Has anyone tried the Celebrate 3-in-1 multi Vitamin powder? I am considering doing the citrus for the first 3 months after surgery? Opinions?

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
