To eat daily, or not to eat...EGGS!

Recommended Posts

I'm really glad you've found the way that works for you@apple1 I was just going by the fact that you basically said you wouldn't recommend daily eggs to anyone. I can't find the post where I got the poison from, so I take that back.

I just think it's best to avoid generalizations and giving advice. I try to just present information, but perhaps my tone needs to change I will work on that.

I eat eggs at least five days a week (I have hens as well so they are perhaps healthier eggs than many) and my cholesterol ratio is perfect. So my study with a population of one bears out my personal use of eggs. I suggest others try the same, if they so desire.

I read the Protein a holic thread and really enjoy learning from what you post.

It was a good debate, no worries.

I believe I may be one of the unlucky ones because I have had problems with my cholesterol for a few years now. A low carb diet did not help. I am hoping for much improved numbers when I get my next labs.

I am confused, going through this thread. Is the arguing about eggs? Or something else? I have not got to the end yet, but are people saying eggs are bad, or are they fine?

It was about whether a person should eat eggs everyday. There were arguments made for not eating them and for eating them. You can read the information and decide for yourself what would be good for you.

Yes eggs and then some about animal products in general. Arguments both ways.

@heycrystal2052 Please allow me to jack another one of your threads! *snort* TY! I don't know why I'm super nerv? The nurse called yesterday to ask me some questions about the Fluid around my heart thing...the anesthesiologist wasn't "feelin' it" and needed reassuring. I found out there would be fentanyl involved since I'm allergic to benzos...is that ever a bad thing? ROFLMAO? Said no one EVER! I'm about to go get ready now. I have another appointment before the EGD to see the pysical medicine doc. Hopefully will see ya'll tonight! :784_peace:

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
