Help! I feel sick all the time

Recommended Posts

I got sleeve done 8/4 and about since Sunday I haven't been able to get in any Protein in. And Water maybe about 8-12 oz the most everyday. Since then I noticed I wake up nauseous and go to bed nauseous. Sometimes it's all day. I don't know if it's because I can smell food and I can't tolerate the smells any more-it just makes me want to throw up constantly. I even experienced gagging and almost throwing up but since my stomach is empty nothing ever comes out. It's horrible. I'm getting worried and scared. I don't know what to do. Water, Powerade zero, and even my Protein Powder shakes make me sick. I can't drink that much because I feel sick to my stomach. Seriously thinking about going to doctor today or tomorrow. I feel thirsty but get frustrated because if I try drinking fast I end up in stomach pain. I don't know what to do or if anyone has gone through this. I just want to feel normal again. It feels like torture with this nausea and constant feeling of wanting to throw up☹️

Contact your doctor today, and they will probably send you to the ER for fluids and anti-nausea meds. If you can't get ahold of them, just go ahead and go to the ER.

I seen a girl on YouTube describing similar symptoms she said they diagnosed it as a stricture. I agree with the previous comment to go to the ER.

I didn't feel nausea but I had a hard time eating and drinking anything for the first 2 weeks. It subsided to the point that I am now getting close to the desired Protein and Water. But you should still call your doctor.

You should always contact your surgeon's office with something like this right away. The best place for you to get help is with them. Please contact them ASAP, or just go to an ER.

I called my surgeons office they are sending me to an infusion center for fluids
Hopefully this helps me and they gave me prescription for other nausea meds.

Oh fantastic! I'd been thinking about you wondering how you are doing.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
