Help! I feel sick all the time

I got sleeve done 8/4 and about since Sunday I haven't been able to get in any protein in. And water maybe about 8-12 oz the most everyday. Since then I noticed I wake up nauseous and go to bed nauseous. Sometimes it's all day. I don't know if it's because I can smell food and I can't tolerate the smells any more-it just makes me want to throw up constantly. I even experienced gagging and almost throwing up but since my stomach is empty nothing ever comes out. It's horrible. I'm getting worried and scared. I don't know what to do. Water, Powerade zero, and even my protein powder shakes make me sick. I can't drink that much because I feel sick to my stomach. Seriously thinking about going to doctor today or tomorrow. I feel thirsty but get frustrated because if I try drinking fast I end up in stomach pain. I don't know what to do or if anyone has gone through this. I just want to feel normal again. It feels like torture with this nausea and constant feeling of wanting to throw up☹️

  • Contact your doctor today, and they will probably send you to the ER for fluids and anti-nausea meds. If you can't get ahold of them, just go ahead and go to the ER.

I called my surgeons office they are sending me to an infusion center for fluids [emoji20] Hopefully this helps me and they gave me prescription for other nausea meds.

Thank you guys so much. I'm glad I called. Hopefully next week once I start on diced foods it will get better. Praying for the best! I'm so glad I found this app! You guys are a blessing !

I seen a girl on YouTube describing similar symptoms she said they diagnosed it as a stricture. I agree with the previous comment to go to the ER.

I didn't feel nausea but I had a hard time eating and drinking anything for the first 2 weeks. It subsided to the point that I am now getting close to the desired protein and water. But you should still call your doctor.

You should always contact your surgeon's office with something like this right away. The best place for you to get help is with them. Please contact them ASAP, or just go to an ER.

Oh fantastic! I'd been thinking about you wondering how you are doing.
