Thanks for the tip:)

I picked up the scale for $20 from a kitchen supply outlet store. It is worth the couple extra bucks.. does grams too!

Dense meat is a whole other ballgame. I can eat 6-8 ounces of chili and things like that. Solid meat.. 3.5 ounces is my max. And that is only if I haven't eaten for a while. And if I eat that much meat, there isn't room for even a bite of veggies. So I eat them separately.

Keep in mind I'm 5 months out. Solid meat shouldn't be on your agenda until around 8 weeks out. (And expect to get full on 1-2 ounces when you get there).

I was aproved for full normal food diet when my surgeon saw me at 5 weeks. I am 7 weeks post and loving normal food :) it is fully on my agenda lol but certainly was not at 3 weeks.

I did end up almost finishing one of them! For context, this is one large egg puréed and split between two mini muffin cups! And it tasted great, went down easy, stayed down. Might have the other one for breakfast tomorrow!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
