Two week liquid diet tomorrow and nervous a little

All the time of doing everything on the check list I haven't really been nervous. But for some reason after my pre op appointments on the 8/8 I got a little nervous. I'm starting my liquid diet tomorrow . I'm still a little nervous , but not to the point of not having my surgery. I've worked to hard to get to this point. I keep reminding myself why I'm having the surgery. I was wondering has this happen to anyone else?

The headaches are mild.i know they are from me not eating like I use too.for the most part I feel good.

Oh ok, what all are you able to have your liquid diet? Because my doctor and nut allows me to have grits, plain oatmeal and cream of wheat.i also can have cream soups and that's really been helping me.

Omg.70-120g protein, sugar free jello, pudding, popsicle, all natural juice no sugar added.sugar free apple sauce 4oz of baked chicken fish or turkey.decaf coffee /tea low fat creamer 1% skim milk or soy.low fat cottage cheese(um nope)all the plain greek yogurt I want but don't like(um nope).G2 Gatorade, propel, crystal light &diet powerade.

Oh wow you can have meat. Well every doctor and nut are different . I'm sure those cookies looked and smelled good. Yesterday while I was at my primary care doctor I got light headed, dizzy and I sweating so bad . My sugar had dropped because I hadn't had anything since the night before.

No I'm not a diabetic. Just because I didn't have anything because I knew I was having blood work done. Oh ok I understand. What day is your surgery on?

Help! I slipped and had a couple of bites of food twice. I'm 10 days into my pre-op diet. Should I be worried? I've lost 10 lbs so far and still have 4 full days to go.

I don't think you need to worry. I had my surgery a week ago and i'm feeling really good. Here in the UK my pre- op diet was restricted (800 cals) but not liquids only. Probably not as difficult as a liquid diet but still ok for surgery.

Congrats on your surgery date, new journey an a new you.keep me posted on your updates.

Thank you! And same too you . Even though our surgeries are not on the same day , but close enough maybe we can surgery buddies? I will keep you updated.
