Success rates in Australia?

Does anyone have info on the success rates for lapbands in Australia? I was just searching the web & came across some info to say that some Countries who have had the band for 10yrs or more are now finding the long term success rates aren't very good and that lots of people have had to have them out due to problems. I don't want to believe this is true and I'm starting to wonder if this will fail eventually like diets do as well. Does anyone know someone who has had a band for a long time? :omg:

I dont know and I wouldnt be so bold as to say I wouldnt gain weight if I lost my band.

But what I do know is that almost 2 years down that has been long enough for me to TRULY change some of the bad habits that made me fat.

And I've developed a confidence in my ability to hold in check some of my bad habits MOST of the time. Which appears to be enough.

So I'm truly just not thinking about it. We all took a leap of faith on this, there ARE no very long term statistics.
