Katariina, I hope your family stays safe in Florida. My surgery is on Monday and I both can't wait and am very nervous. Good luck to all those having surgery this week. Looking forward to hearing from you all soon.

I'm really starting to get nervous now. I leave for Tijuana Monday morning! Time is sure flying by! They need to invent a word for "terrified and excited" because I'm somewhere in between!

Pompeii Surgical. I only stay there 2 days. The rest of the time I am in their recovery center with my son. It looks like a vacation villa! How about you? When will you fly in?

I'm going to Angeles Tijuana on Monday, surgery on Tuesday. 2 nights in hospital and 2 nights at Hotel Lucerna. Your's sounds nice and relaxing. And you get the bonus of a little mom and son time. Mine are still in school, one in college, one in high school and one in Jr high. So just me and the hubby. But Nana's gonna be busy! ;)

I'm having surgery the same day. I had the worst headache from no caffeine. How are you doing on the liquid diet?

I wasn't told I needed to stop the caffeine, so I have been having my usual 12-14 oz of organic black coffee in the morning.

The first few days of the liquid diet were very tough: the first day there was excitement, but on days 2 and 3 I was hangry! After the first week, I got used to it and am now ready to get this over with. This morning I have lost nearly 15 lbs since starting the liquid diet.

I've been using the Premier Protein shakes (30g/serving), which I bought from Amazon. I am hoping that I can still stomach them afterwards because I still have quite a few, and I hate the idea of stirring powder into the tiny amounts of liquid I'll be able to drink in the first month. Fingers crossed.

All the best to you. [emoji4]

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
