  10. With only love and camaraderie in my heart for you, I would say that you are correct to be alarmed and that your spouse is NOT supporting you. Think if your problem had been smoking rather than being overweight. If your doctor had diagnosed you with a smoking disease and your spouse continued to smoke in front of you, in your house, and in front of your child, it would be clear that he does not have your best interests at heart. This is no different. You've done all of the hard work of getting your life back! This is no small feat. It seems that as part of this change you have also considered the benefirs2to your child. Many of us were not overweight or obese children. But some of us were. Those that were know how they became that way through the choices their parents made for them and how they taught them to view food. In other words, these children have lost part of their longevity and their health at such a young age!! Please don't let this happen to your child. I suggest you get some couples and family counseling so that you have the professional help you need as an individual ans for your family. Hopefully your spouse will see how serious this matter is. In the meantime, reqch out to your support groups to keep you going. You are a kick ass lady, and a kick ass mom. God bless. Sent from my SM-G935T using BariatricPal mobile app

  15. So, I am just focusing on getting enough liquid in the next few days. Will reevaluate at the end of the week, because I am not itching to start puree: the only things on the list that appeal to me are runny scrambled eggs and yogurt. Sent from my SM-G935T using BariatricPal mobile app
  16. Today is Sunday, and I will be discharged from the hospital in the next few hours. My surgery was on Friday morning. I did not feel any nausea, so I was quickly moved to clear liquids. However, I had my brother bring me about 4oz of organic consomme I had made in days previous, and an organic herbal tea bag. The Lipton and god only knows powdered bullion they offered me does not cut it Sent from my SM-G935T using BariatricPal mobile app

  22. I get the white tongue, which repulses me because I am obsessive about brushing and scraping my tongue! It must be those sweeteners and the milk powder they use. I am thinking of them as a tool only to get me through all of this. I am usually very mindful about what I eat (my problems are PCOS, sleep apnea, fibromyalgia, and insufficient activity). Talk to your doctor/NP about the issue. Good luck! Sent from my SM-G935T using BariatricPal mobile app

  26. I wasn't told I needed to stop the caffeine, so I have been having my usual 12-14 oz of organic black coffee in the morning. The first few days of the liquid diet were very tough: the first day there was excitement, but on days 2 and 3 I was hangry! After the first week, I got used to it and am now ready to get this over with. This morning I have lost nearly 15 lbs since starting the liquid diet. I've been using the Premier Protein shakes (30g/serving), which I bought from Amazon. I am hoping that I can still stomach them afterwards because I still have quite a few, and I hate the idea of stirring powder into the tiny amounts of liquid I'll be able to drink in the first month. Fingers crossed. All the best to you. [emoji4] Sent from my SM-G935T using BariatricPal mobile app

  28. This recipe looks wonderful. After reading it, I know that I will love it. Your website is good, and the dishes varied and truly drool worthy. For a true foodie such as me, it was hard enough to find sites that offered several recipes I actually want to try. After seeing yours, I am doubly happy for a post-op resource, and because you have the ethnic food variety I believe I was searching for; thank you!
