I decided to do the two week pre op diet a full two weeks before my final surgeons appointment to lose weight and have that recorded for the insurance people. I then maintained that diet all the way up to my surgery date. Well over a month and I lost approximately 42lbs just by doing that. Protein Shakes 3x a day with lots of water, a small cottage cheese in the morning, small v8 in the afternoon. Plus either some lean protein and a veg, for dinner around 7pm.

I was craving all the junk foods that I used to eat everyday ! But if you concentrate hard on it and keep something around to drink at all times I found it much easier to handle.

Good Luck !!

Anthony

I started by replacing one meal a day (usually breakfast) with a protein drink and tracking my eating on the Fitnesspal app. Also, ask your doctor or nutritionist recommend something! You don't have to do this alone.
