Surgery went great. He found a hernia & repaired it. There was a lot of expected scar tissue since I had a lapband that was removed 4 years ago. Dr Nair said the scar tissue wasn't half as bad as he expected, so I got lucky. My question is about the JP tube drain. I've been stripping it, emptying the pouch a few times a day & measuring. But the pads around it get soaked through pretty fast. The drain fluid is relatively clear at this point. Not so much blood in it anymore. There's no odd odor,. Skin looks good. No fever. Would the pads getting soaked be something to call the doctor about tomorrow? Or just wait till my Thursday follow up?
