WFH is work from home....I literally took 2 days off and I am regretting it.

My surgery was 6/27/2017. Today I start my first day WFH. I work for a tech company so it's an option for us to work from home and my short term disability would only pay for my time off for three weeks.

I had surgery 6/27/17 as well and just emailed work HR about returning Monday and just have to get in my doctor's note of approval, so maybe next week I will start back. I only started feeling human and getting enough Protein and carbs this past weekend so I really needed the time. Most people don't have as many issues as me though

Thanks ! I think I'll take a two week off giving me enough time to feel normal.

I went back to work after a week. I fumbled and stumbled around, I should have waited longer. I think 2 weeks would have been right for me, in retrospect.

I was sleeved May 31. I'm going back next Monday. I would've gone back after 6 weeks but I had a vacation already scheduled for this week so it turned into 7 weeks off. I could've gone back sooner if they would allow me to do light duty, but they don't. Oh well, I feel good now to return.

I had my surgery on Wednesday and I will most likely go back on Monday. I don't have to do much more than what Im already doing so I should be fine. I didn't have any issues. Post surgery. Had some gas which was more discomfort than pain but I walked every 2 hours in the hospital and I take Tylenol if I have pain which I really haven't had. I would say at the highest my pain was a 3. Even walked around the mall for an hour day of discharge. Everyone is different so just listen to your body. Good Luck!

Dr kept me out a month. All depends on how you feel and what you do for a living.

Surgery on Wed 5/3 and returned to work on Mon 5/8, which felt good for me, i was off pain meds by that Saturday, so only 3-days. Helps, i just sit at a desk all day, however, I did get tired earlier and went home earlier than I normally did for that first week.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
