  6. I just had my 3 month post op and I am down about 40lbs. I have about 50lbs to go to reach my goal weight. I am doing pretty good overall as I have had no issues post op and can eat whatever I want without issue which is nice. I workout about 5 days a week so that I can keep toning while the weight comes off. My least favorite part is the plateaus but I’m learning to not get as frustrated with them lol

  8. It’ll happen I was lucky enough to have gained 5 lbs after surgery so I understand your pain but now I am down 40lbs 3 months out. Its coming don’t beat yourself up too bad and make sure to exercise no matter what.
  9. I stalled from week two to week four and my doctor had already warned me about it. Even though the scale didn’t move I had lost 10lbs of fat and gained it in muscle. I think my plateau lasted about 4 weeks and then it was back to losing. I think I just had another week of a plateau last week. It will continue to happen as your body adjusts so it will be ok.

  12. I rode rollercoasters all day yesterday. It was an awesome NSV!
  13. Take a robe and comfy easy on/off slippers to the hospital. You have to walk and its cold in the hospital. Walk even when you don't feel like it, it really helps. Also a small pillow is awesome between you and the seatbelt. I used it for about a week or so. I think that I was well prepared for surgery but the pain that most people experienced I did not have. I had surgery on Wednesday and went back to work on Monday.
  14. Its normal. Your stomach is still healing. By the time you get to about 6-8 weeks out you'll think you're eating a ton and by a ton I mean 1/2 cup at a time. Good luck!
  15. Thats awesome Im glad you're doing well. I am still struggling to get all of my water in. I was a gallon per day prior to surgery but now Im struggling to get a half gallon in since my stomach gets full so fast. I am at my plateau right now which sucks but I get it. It happens and I'll get past it.

  17. I had my two week follow-up today. Down 26lbs which includes my pre-op diet. I was moved to soft foods and I am ecstatic that I get to skip pureed foods lol. All of my restrictions were removed so onward and upward! Congratulations to everyone! Just remember it will get better!

  24. Yes I have always taken an iron supplement but I was just much colder right after surgery. I am about 10 days out now and it seems to have gone away.

  26. There is a brand called 'SixStar' whey protein. That I found at Walmart which was unflavored and it is advertised to dissolve in anything on the label. I have added it to broth and yogurt with no change in consistency or flavor so I would say it works very well. Just be careful though when you add it to anything hot, you don't want it to be so hot that it destroys the protein molecules.
  27. The first time I had to sneeze was about 3 days after. Dear God I thought my intestines fell out through my incisions! I can say one week out its not near as bad as day 3 lol
  28. Good for you diet pills are terrible. Way to many dangerous side affects in many of them.
