It happens to the best of us. I was written up at work for an outburst of anger that came out of nowhere. It does get better. It took about 3 moths post op before I was able to be my old self.

1 month after surgery:

Boss: I don't understand why we can't just make things work on this project.

Me: I don't understand why you can't get what I'm saying through your fuckin' head.

Boss: I don't need to put up with this from you, and he walked away.

Me, Loud enough for all to hear: Bye Felicia!

Spent 2 months in the doghouse for that one.

I'm surprised I'm not unemployed, divorced and childless. I even hated myself at times. [emoji23]

Thanks for this information! My surgery is scheduled August 28th. I work from home, but I probably should warn my husband and daughter. Is this a long term issue? Days, weeks, months?

You are not alone. We were warned in our pre-op class at KCBariactric that we would have mood swings and be on an emotional roller coaster because of the hormones being released from burned fat and also because we can't turn to food to comfort or calm or reward ourselves any more. I had a special talk with the RN because I was having sore breasts, insomnia, and other classic PMS symptoms, even though I am (hopefully, finally) past menopause. The nurse said it is normal and will settle down once I stop losing so fast. Hang in there, it will get better.

Natural progesterone does wonders. You font need,a script and it can be purchased at a Vitamin Shoppe or online at Amazon. Look it up. It's great for peri menopause and post menopause. It literally saved my life. I have been taking it for 15 yrs.
I only use emerita natural progesterone. You can go to their site for info. Www.emerita.com don't expect your gyno to be onboard. It requires no prescription and they will poo poo it because it naturally benefits your body in so many ways. I swear by it. Go online and do your research. [emoji4]

Have a great Wednesday too! Sorry you're hungry all the time, I'm pretty much the same..and I'm sick of eating the same food all the time.

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!

Having gall bladder surgery in a few days and I so hope the recovery is easier than the one from the modified DS! I could use a bit of luck/pep talk for a change. I'm starting to be able to walk around without experiencing dizziness, but it would be great if the random pain in my chest and abdomen would go away!!
