Tmi? but I need to know

Hey! I'm 8 days post op and I wanted to know if this is normal? I'm still on full liquids and after I have my soups about 15 mins later I have to use the restroom (poop). Is this normal?

This happens a lot. If you are going more than a few times a day, (watery), contact your doc to see if you should take something to stem the flow. You don't want to end up dehydrated.

Usually things solidify when you get to eating more solid of foods.

Thank you!!

Diarrhea is very common on liquid diets post-op because the stuff goes through your digestive system rapidly. Just keep hydrated and with enough nutrients (vitamins, protein, etc.). When you get on solids it should disappear within days-to-weeks.

I was likewise taking things that didn't help, such as milk of magnesia.. literally could not go anywhere out of fear of crapping myself.
