I just got approval from my surgeon and my surgery date is July 6th. I just went to my surgeon last week for the first time and was put on the fast track for surgery. Already on my pre-op diet which is not a completely liquid diet that I have heard from other people. It is a high protein - low carb diet where I pretty much eat only protein 2-4 grams depending on which meal and either a cup of cooked veggies or two cups of raw veggies or fruit. I also get three protein shakes a day as a snack. Already have lost 10 pounds doing this so I am looking forward to what will be coming from the surgery. I have my physic evaluation this week along with my class on learning about the VSG from the hospital. Looking to be a few weeks of fast-paced learning and getting things done before surgery! Really like my surgeon because I already knew him from other people.
I had some push back from some people when I told them. They felt that I needed to spend the money on a trainer and help the old fashioned way but I stuck to my guns and am 100 committed now. Looking forward to my seminar class tomorrow and getting all of the other things checked off my list so I can start the race towards health and happiness.!
