4 days into 10 day diet - Craving variety!

Well I finally got my surgery date, October 15, and started my diet.... lots of Protein shakes, supplements, etc.

I miss variety on this diet! I can't wait until a couple weeks after surgery when I can add some more things to my diet. Sadly, this is a while away!

I know most of you can relate to this! I'm super excited about surgery though! Although kind of scared since this is my first surgery. Also it's around midterms so I need to get back to class as soon as I reasonably can after surgery (Senior in Computer Engineering).

Good luck to everyone else's diet!

Hey dustout, congrats on getting a date. I'll add you to the Roll Call!

It seems some pre-op diets are liquid and some are just low-cal and low-carb. I started my liquid diet yesterday and around 6 p.m. my stomach was killing me. I had a small piece of cheese and it took care of all my cravings for the rest of the night. I looked online and found a document that showed requirements for a pre-op diet for lap band. It stated to eat lean meats, low fat dairy products, veggies, etc. Does anyone think the cheese is a big problem? I'm going to ask the Dr tomorrow. Just curious as to what you guys think.
