You are just gorgeous! I love the attitude in your second pic. Its Great! I'm only 4 days post op and I'm still sore and full of fluids. When did you start losing weight after you came home? I came home 3 pounds heavier! I've lost that but am waiting to get my mojo going!!!

Congratulations on all your changes. You look amazing, and it shows that you also feel amazing.

Yes, you are that tiny! We have the same stats (I'm also 5'7, goal was 150). I stalled at 152 and just started dropping again. My brain still hasn't quite caught up with me being a size 10, let alone the 4-6 or XS or even XXS clothes I can wear now. I am always shocked when someone refers to me as "little", "tiny", or "small".

Continued good wishes on your future successes. You are definitely an inspiration.

Thank you. I also feel weird when people say I am a skinnie Minnie or I'm so slim. But I'm embracing it. I'm toning up. I am stuck at 156 and honestly I'm okay with that. I just wanted to hit 150 for purpose of doc. But I'm really little now and 6 lbs off is a lot more for me, lol. I wish you success and happiness as well.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
