Insurance approved my surgery! I am thrilled. I have to get clearance from my cardiologist and pulmonologist before surgery will be scheduled. They both support the surgery so I am not concerned with clearance as long as my chest x-ray looks good. Pulmonologist can't see me until July 3rd so waiting, waiting, waiting and calling to check on cancellations. THEN, they schedule surgery, pre-op visit and education class. Nurse said about 2 and a half to 3 weeks after clearance until surgery.

I just got approved as well! Congrats! I start the liquid diet in 3 days and my surgery is set for June 28th. I have been seeing specialist after specialist since January . The waiting is hard isn't it?!
