Any August 2017 Sleevers?

Recommended Posts

Last night, was my second night with my new C-PAP machine and I could only stand it for two hours with the bloody mask on. God, I hope this surgery helps abate my obstructive sleep apnea.

I use a CPAP machine too. I'm feeling better using it after the surgery then before. Good luck to you.

Have you considered Artesian Water or drinking really cold water?

I'm scheduled for Aug 16th, which is Tuesday so I'm almost there!

The liquid diet isn't too bad but still have the urge to crunch something!

Mostly missing salads.

I'm going into my 2nd week preop, and been thinking i miss my salads!

It takes some getting used too. I actually ended up getting a different mask. I feel so much better with it tho! I had every symptom of sleep apnea, but all my other doctors have been blowing me off for years and telling me to loose weight.

I'm hearing you loud and clear! I'm 54 and finally taking control of my body, my health and my life! The saggy skin does worry me a bit but You can hide most of that with good support garments I guess My surgery was on Tuesday and I am doing great! Sore of course but tolerating liquids with ridiculous ease!! I'm averaging 1.5 litres per day and No reflux... yay

Great job! Keep it going!

I'm just heading down from the nutrition consult. Sounds like I was approved but my social skills are **** so who can say?

Hey Im Aug. 16th too!![emoji38]
Im getting excited. I dont have to go on a liquid diet until tuesday officially but im starting on a liquid diet on my own on Sunday. I want to make sure I dont gain any weight so my surgery wont get cancelled! These last few days I have been eating all the foods ( in moderation of course) I know I may never eat again! Getting it ll out of my system so I can mindfully eat completely 100% healthy for the rest of my life! AUGUST 16 HERE WE COME!!!!!!
As for wanting to crunch on something, I read where someone ate ice chips for that crunch! You can even add something like Crystal light to the Water before freezing it to make it more enjoyable![emoji6]

Well tomorrow is my surgery day. Excited and nervous at the same time. How is everyone doing that has already had their surgery this month. Did any of you have to take a blood thinner after for 2 weeks.

I'm 4 days post-op and feeling pretty good. My surgeon prescribed blood thinners for a week. I'm not a fan because it is an injection. Thankfully my husband is less squeamish than me.

I'm scheduled for surgery tomorrow. Check in is at 11:20. I was lucky and didn't have to start a liquid diet until today. So far it's G2G and chicken broth. Good vibes to all.

Congratulations on your surgery!! I had surgery this past week, so the best advice I can give you other than sip sip is walk anytime someone ask you about getting up and about.

Thanks. My wife has told me that I won't get much rest in the hospital as I will be walking most of the time. It's pretty exciting to conclude the 7 month journey to get to this point. Excited to start the next adventure.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
