I wonder why so much liquid in the beginning? But I do also think it could be a more brilliant move since our stomachs are so new at this point. Maybe better healing time? I have also considered just adding one food every so often but keeping it mostly liquid as well. I'm still having a hard time with that darn Multivitamin. As slow as I eat it, I feel it and it's not comfortable. Maybe I'm not ready?

That Multivitamin does give you a hard way to go. I hate it.

I'm awful at chewing my Vitamins. For me, it's a consistency thing. I actually just ordered vitamin patches, and they should be here Tuesday. I've heard good things about them, so we'll see!

So ladies I was wondering.. do you know approximately how long it takes for the stitches to fall off and for the cuts to heal? And how do i know if I'm taking good care of it.. they are dry and have no pain at all so i guess i'm good? I've been out and about but i dont pick up anything heavy except maybe like 2 times.

My nut said that by introducing soft foods more slowly it reduces the risk of acid reflux becoming a problem. I will post a photo each week of my plan it has 9 stages so 9 weeks post op before on regular foods fully.

I don't think one plan is better than another just that every doc/nut has their own way of doing things. I am planning to be fairly rigid and follow mine very closely, even though I am envious of some of the things others are allowed to eat.

When are you allowed to do puree foods?

My paperwork says in 2weeks but my horsey acts up most of the time especially when im drinking something warm that is the only pain/cramp i have. I guess touching and if they feel soft then i guess it's o.k. if the spot is hot, oozing pus/blood then it might require a phone call to the doctor. Sorry for being graphic.

LMFAOOOO your horsey [emoji24], .. I was reading a thread about how people can get hernias or would need reconstructive surgery.. that's actually scary ..

Me too. I find myself putting off my alarm when it's time for that one. I eventually take it, just hate doing it. But, it has been doing me good.

Oh yes...please keep us updated with those. I'm interested to see how they pan out with the bloodwork.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
